Description
This two-part piece serves as artistic neighborhood benches, which represent the Ole Asheboro neighborhood. Artist VanDorn Hinnant grew up in Ole Asheboro , and used his personal experience as well as engagement with community members to create this two part piece. Along with quotes from community leaders, Nettie Coad and Dorothy Brown, VanDorn believes that a shared vision must move people forward and be easily understood. It must be positive, inspiring, motivating, and include our collective values for right action. To control our future, we are called to embrace and to live a shared vision. We must first be inspired to live this shared vision. Now, is always the right time. The future of Ole Asheboro must always include our voice and our shared vision.
