The #Run4Greenway is an event to raise awareness about the Downtown Greenway and a fundraiser to help us complete the Downtown Greenway as a visionary amenity for the city, its residents and visitors. The 2020 Run 4 the Greenway Virtual Challenge consists of a 4 mile run and 1 mile walk/run that you can run on your own schedule between October 17-31 and submit your results and photos on the RESULTS page and tag us at #Run4Greenway.  Grab the family, your running group, or do it on your own– although we always encourage you to run with a partner!  There will also be a family-friendly scavenger hunt that you can do on the Downtown Greenway and throughout downtown to win prizes—learn about public art and neighborhood history along the Downtown Greenway.

We will have a Pop-up Packet Pick-Up on Saturday, October 17 from 1-5pm in LoFi Park (500 N. Eugene St)—stop by to pick up the race route and Run 4 the Greenway Neck Gaiter. Participants will have an option to purchase a run shirt this year which can also be picked up on October 17th.  Swag will be mailed to participants who cannot stop by the pop-up packet pick-up– all registered participants will get a Downtown Greenway neck gaiter.

We will have a closing virtual event on Sunday, November 1 from 4-5pm.  Join us virtually on Facebook with live music with Jessica and Evan, runner prizes from local downtown businesses and sponsors and Downtown Greenway trivia! Details will be emailed to challenge participants. Prizes from Machete, Sage Mule, Deep Roots, Moore Music, Triad Lifestyle Medicine, Bryan YMCA, Scuppernong Books, First Bank, and more. Prizes from these great local businesses:
