The section on Smith Street between North Eugene and Spring Streets opened in April 2013.

This section of the Downtown Greenway features innovative stormwater treatment facilities in addition to the usual trail standards. Eventually this section will continue west to Prescott Street along the south side of Smith and will continue north along Eugene Street and east along Fisher to Greene Street.

The Tradition Cornerstone located at the corner of Smith Street and Prescott Street was opened in May 2014.
