I’m Donald Moore, president and general manager of the Greensboro Grasshoppers. I’ve lived in Greensboro all my life. Grew up here, went to high school here. Went away to college, came back, raised a family, and been here all my life.
The Grasshoppers feel it’s very important to be a vibrant parts of this community. We like to participate in things that we think are good for Greensboro.
I think the greenway is very unique. It’s wonderful for folks to get exercise, to walk their pets. Some of the art and all this in parts of it are spectacular. I think it will be a great thing for Greensboro. It speaks a lot about our corporate citizens that they all would come together and participate in this and make it happen. I think it’s something that our citizens can enjoy for many years to come.
Personally I look forward to walking my dogs on the downtown greenway or maybe getting away from the office for a little bit and just taking a stroll, just being outdoors on a pretty day and seeing others experiencing that and enjoying it.
