Funding the Downtown Greenway

Funding

The Downtown Greenway provides a variety of opportunities for individuals, businesses, foundations, and civic organizations to help complete this dynamic new Greensboro asset.  Tax-deductible contributions may include cash, pledges over a two-year period, donations of securities, and bequests and other types of planned gifts.

You can be a part of the Final Mile Campaign to raise $1M to complete the private funding needs to complete this project.

Naming opportunities are available to recognize support.  These opportunities range from $250 for a message in a bottle in the gabion basket wall at the Friendly Avenue overpass on the Western Branch section to $5,000 for Standard Benches to $150,000 for significant features on the Greenway.  In addition, all donors contributing $2,500 or more will be recognized permanently and prominently on the Donor Spool Wall located at Woven Works Park in designated recognition categories.

Those contributing $1,000 to the Greenway Tree Fund will be featured on a Tree Plaque to be displayed on a special Greenway Milestone Kiosk along with periodic newspaper ads recognizing donors of $100 or more. Unless anonymity is requested, all contributors will be recognized on the website.

To donate or get more information, call Dabney Sanders at 336-387-8353.

Thanks to all of our donors — from the Major Gifts Campaign to the Final Mile Campaign and everything in between.
