Description
As you explore this stretch of the Downtown Greenway as it runs alongside the College Branch Stream, you’ll discover the Wonder of Water Walk, a multi-station public art experience of 12 colorful, interactive stops that celebrate one of our community’s most important natural resources – water. Water shapes our daily lives in ways that we often don’t see. It flows from our taps, supports local wildlife, nourishes plants, and keeps our city clean and healthy. This installation invites you to explore and learn about the wonder of water – to look closer at the stream beside you, and to think about where water comes from, where it goes, and how we can protect it. The Wonder of Water Walk was made possible through support from the City of Greensboro’s Water Resources Department, whose dedicated team works every day to provide our community with safe drinking water, treat our wastewater, and protect our waterways.
