    Deep Roots Market

    Founded in 1976, this locally owned co-op grocery store relocated and expanded to its current downtown location in 2013. It has flourished with 50 staff members and over 5,000 member-owners, and serves as one of the anchors of the LoFi Park neighborhood.

  • Union Square higher education campus in downtown Greensboro

    Union Square Campus

    The first building at Union Square Campus was built in 2016 and is a collaboration between Guilford Technical Community College, North Carolina A&T State University, UNC Greensboro, and Cone Health to support state of the art education of nurses from Associate degrees to Doctoral degrees using classrooms, auditoriums, study areas, and a high-tech simulation lab.
