About
The Downtown Greenway, a collaborative project of Action Greensboro and the City of Greensboro, is a 4-mile walking and biking trail that encourages economic development, improves quality of life for its residents, and tells community stories through public art.
The Downtown Greenway was conceived as part of the Center City Master Plan in 2001 and was unanimously recognized by the Greensboro Bicentennial Commission as their signature project to commemorate the city’s 200th birthday celebration in 2008.
