The Downtown Greenway will run 4.8 miles around Greensboro's center city, passing through more than a dozen neighborhoods. This urban trail includes stretches through parklike green spaces, along the path of old railway tracks and safely alongside city streets and sidewalks.

The Downtown Greenway will form a hub that will help connect the 80-plus miles of city greenways and trails that already exist. It will also connect to a broader network of trails and parks, including statewide efforts such as the Mountains to the Sea Trail.
